Top up your chip card

How can I top up my student card?

You can top up your student card at the top-up machines in the university or in the canteens. You can use cash or your bank card to top up your card.

auto-LOAD: The convenient alternative

With auto-LOAD, the credit on your chip card is automatically topped up. To do this, you must give the Studentenwerk Würzburg a SEPA direct debit mandate for your current account so that the amounts can be debited.

Advantages of auto-LOAD

  • Always sufficient credit on the card
  • No queuing in front of the top-up machines
  • No regular credit check necessary
  • Shorter waiting times at the tills
  • Top-up also possible without a top-up machine

You can find more information about auto-LOAD here

Cafeteria

The numerous cafeterias of the Studentenwerk Würzburg invite you to refuel between lectures. Students can eat at various locations at student-friendly prices and simply pay with the credit on their chip card.
